Gur ends flat on thin trade

There was no change in the pattern of trading in the wholesale gur (jaggery) market at national capital due to small buying support amid sufficient stocks position.

Marketmen said restricted buying and restricted supply held sugar prices around last levels.

In rainy season, stockists and traders refrained to enlarge their stocks on fears of damage.

Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur market also showed a quiet trend on little doings.

Marketmen said small buying support amid restricted supply, kept gur prices around overnight levels.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,800-2,850, Pedi Rs 2,950-3,000 and Dhayya N.T., shakkar Rs 3,200-3,300

 

In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,750-1,850, chakku Rs 2,450-2,550 and Khurpa N.T
In Muradnagar: Pedi 2,800-2,850 and Dhaya N.A
