Gur ends quiet in thin trade

Dull conditions persisted in the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices continued to hover around previous levels.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended flat on some support.

Market analysts said adequate stocks position against small buying support, mainly kept gur prices flat. 

Following were today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,200-2,250, pedi Rs 2,200-2,250, Dhayya Rs 2,250-2,300 and Shakkar Rs 2,400-2,450
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,750-1,850, chakku Rs 2,000-2,200 and Khurpa Rs 1,950-2,000
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,000-2,050 and Dhaya Rs 2,000-2,050
