Gur ends quiet in thin trade

Steady conditions persisted in the wholesale gur (jaggery) market at the national capital today as prices moved in a narrow range on small bouts of trading and settled at last levels.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended flat on some support.

Market analysts said adequate stocks position along with small buying support kept gur prices unaltered.

Following were today's quotations per quintal: 

Chakku Rs 2,300-2,350, pedi Rs 2,500-2,550, Dhayya Rs 2,550-2,600, and Shakkar Rs 2,600-2,700

Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,875-1,975, chakku Rs 2,050-2,250 and Khurpa Rs 2,050-2,100

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,150-2,250 and Dhaya Rs 2,300-2,350
