Gur falls on stockists selling

Gur prices fell up to Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale jaggery market today on selling by stockists on subdued demand.

Expectations of new gur arrivals in coming few days also influenced the trading sentiment.

Marketmen said stockists selling on subdued demand and expectations of new gur arrivals in the coming days mainly pulled down wholesale gur prices.

At Delhi, gur chakku lost Rs 50 to Rs 2,850-2,900 per quintal. Pedi also moved down by Rs 100 to Rs 2,900-2,950 per quintal.

Gur chakku in Muzzafarnagar, also declined by Rs 100 to Rs 2,500-2,600 per quintal.

In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,150-2,200 chakku Rs 2,500- 2,600 and Khurpa N.T     In Muradnagar: Pedi N.A. And Dhaya N.A
