Gur futures climb on speculative buying

Gur prices firmed up by Rs 14, or 1.44 per cent, to Rs 985.80 per 40 kg in futures trade today on the back of speculative buying by traders.

At the National commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, gur prices for the current-month July contract improved by Rs 14, or 1.44 per cent, to Rs 985.80 per 40 kg, with an open interest of 9,370 lots.

Near September-month contract also followed suit and went up by Rs 13.20, or 1.41 per cent, to Rs 948.40 per 40 kg, with an open interest of 7,260 lots.
