Gur futures decline on weak spot demand

Gur futures prices dropped by Rs 4.60, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs .935.80 per 100 kg today on the back of sluggish demand in physical markets.

Marketmen said heavy supply of new gur into the spot markets against poor offtake by stockist, largely weighed on gur futures prices here.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, gur delivery for November dipped by Rs 4.60, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs 935.80 per quintal, with an open interest of 15,320 lots.

The delivery for January also slipped by Rs 2.20, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 949.80 per quintal, with an open interest of 9,600 lots.
