Gur prices declined by Rs 5.40 to Rs 952 per quintal in futures trading today on increased selling by traders in tandem with fresh supply of new gur in spot markets.

Marketmen said new arrivals in physical markets mainly put pressure on gur preices at futures trade.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, gur delivery for March moved down by Rs 5.40, or 0.56 per cent, to Rs 952 per quintal, with an open interest of 80 lots.

The contract for November-month also went down by Rs 3.80, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 960 per quintal, with an open interest of 14,630 lots.
