Gur futures dip on sluggish spot demand

Gur prices declined by Rs 5.80, or 0.61 per cent, to Rs 948.20 per 40 kg in futures trading today on the back of weak demand in physical markets.

Marketmen said fall in demand and mounting stocks in physical markets, put pressure on futures prices of gur.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, the gur for delivery in September-month contract fell by Rs 5.80, or 0.61 per cent, to Rs 948.20 per 40 kg, with an open interest of 8,720 lots. 

Current July contract delivery also followed suit and went down by Rs 2, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 977.80 per 40 kg, with an open interest of 6,520 lots.
