Gur futures ease on selling

Gur prices softened by Rs 3.60, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 953 per 40 kg in futures trade today on selling by traders, guided by lower sentiment at physical markets.

Marketmen said weak demand and better supply in spot markets, kept gur prices under pressure.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, gur delivery for July contract shed by Rs 3.60, or 0.38 per cent to Rs 953 per 40 kg, with an open interest of 14,570 lots.

September contract delivery too inched down by Rs 2.40, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 933 per 40 kg, with an open interest of 4,620 lots.
