Gur futures slip on selling pressure

Gur prices weakened by Rs 4.40 or 0.48 per cent to Rs 920.20 per 40 kg in futures trade today due to increased selling by traders.

Marketmen said sluggish demand and ample stocks position in spot markets, led to a fall here in futures market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, the gur prices for September-month contract delivery moved down by 4.40 or 0.48 per cent to Rs 920.20 per 40 kg, with an open interest of 4,420 lots.

Current-month July contract delivery also eased by Rs 3 or 0.32 per cent to Rs 948 per 40 kg, with an open interest of 16,280 lots.
