Gur pedi declines on subdued demand

In restricted activity, gur pedi prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale jaggery market today on slack demand against adequate stocks.

Elsewhere, prices moved in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels. 

Marketmen said sluggish local demand adequate stocks position led to a decline in gur pedi prices.

At Delhi, gur pedi declined by Rs 50 to Rs 3,000-3,050 per quintal. 

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,900-2,950, Pedi Rs 3,000-3,050, Dhayya N.T. and Shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,150-2,200 chakku Rs 2,600- 2,700 and Khurpa N.T.
In Muradnagar: Pedi N.A. And Dhaya N.A
