Gur prices decline on higher arrivals

Gur prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal in the national capital today, following increased arrivals amid reduced offtake by stockists.

Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur market also revealed fresh losses on heavy supply of new stocks. 

Market analysts said increased arrivals of new gur into the market was the main reason behind the fall in prices. In Delhi, gur pedi prices lost from Rs 2,350-2,400 to Rs 2,300-2,350 per quintal. 

At Muzzafarnagar, gur raskat slipped from Rs 1,825-1,900 to Rs 1,750-1,875 per quintal on poor offtake by alcohol makers.

In Muradnagar, gur pedi and dhayya slided from Rs 2,100-2,150 each to both settle at Rs 2,050-2,100 per quintal, respectively.

Chakku Rs 2,300-2,350, pedi 2,300-2,350 Dhayya Rs 2,400-2,450 and Shakkar Rs 2,500-2,600
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,750-1,875 chakku Rs 2,050-2,250 and Khurpa Rs 1,950-2,000
In Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,050-2,100 and Dhaya Rs 2,050-2,100
