The wholesale prices of gur dropped by Rs 50 per quintal in the national capital today on poor offtake by retailers and stockists.

However, gur at Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar remained flat on some support.

Marketmen said heavy rains in Delhi mainly hit gur prices, stockists and retailers refrained to enlarge stocks, this caused the downfall in gur prices in Delhi.

In Delhi, gur chakku lost from Rs 2,850-2,900 to end at Rs 2,800-2,850 per quintal, showing a loss of Rs 50.

Pedi too traded lower by Rs 50 to Rs 2,950-3,000, compared to the overnight close of Rs 3,000-3,050 per quintal.
