The wholesale jaggery market closed on a flat note today, as prices by and large moved in a narrow groove on alternate small bouts of trading and settled at last levels.
On the other hand, gur prices improved in Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur mandies on fresh buying support.
Market analysts said less arrivals and better demand pushed up gur prices in Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets.
In Muradnagar, gur pedi and dhayya prices hardened from Rs 2,300-2,350 and Rs 2,350-2,375 to finish at Rs 2,350-2,400 and Rs 2,400-2,450 per quintal.
At Muzzafarnagar, gur khurpa gained from Rs 2,100-2,175 to Rs 2,150-2,180 per quintal.
On the other hand, gur raskat prices fell on increased supply and quoted at Rs 1,800-1,900 from Rs 1,900-1,975 per quintal.

Chakku Rs 2,450-2,500, pedi 2,550-2,600, Dhayya Rs 2,600 -2,650 and Shakkar Rs 2,700-2,750.
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,900-1,975, chakku Rs 2,250 -2,350 and Khurpa Rs 2,100-2,175.
In Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,300-2,350 and Dhaya Rs 2,350- 2,375.
