Gur raskat down in Muzaffarnagar on weak demand

Steady conditions persisted in the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital as prices, after moving in a tight range settled at last levels, while gur ruskat fell in Muzaffarnagar due to sluggish demand.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur raskat prices went down by Rs 50 to Rs 2,350-2,450 per quintal on reduced offtake by beer and cattle-feed makers. 

Gur chakku slipped by Rs 25 to Rs 2,450-2,525 per quintal.  

Following were today's quotations per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,850-2,950, pedi Rs 3,050-3,150, Dhayya Rs 3,300-3,400, and Shakkar Rs 3,200-3,300
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,350-2,450, chakku Rs 2,450-2,525 and Khurpa N.T
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,750-2,800 and Dhaya Rs NA
