Gur rises on fresh buying

Gur prices recovered by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by stockists and retailers.

Traders said, after yesterday's fall, fresh buying by stockists and local parties against less arrivals led rise in prices.

Firm trend in sugar also influenced the trading sentiments here in gur markets, they said.

At Delhi, gur pedi rose by Rs 50 to Rs 2,500-2,550 per quintal.

In Muzzafarnagar, gur khurpa rose to Rs 2,100-2,150 against last close of Rs 2000-2075, while pedi moved up to Rs 2,325-2,400 from previous level of Rs 2,275-2,325 per quintal.

Chakku Rs 2,450-2,500, pedi 2,500-2,550 Dhayya Rs 2,800-2,850 and Shakkar Rs 2,600-2,700
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,925-2,000 chakku Rs 2,175-2,300 and Khurpa 2,100-2,150
In Muradnagar: Pedi 2,300-2,400 and Dhaya 2,550-2,600
