Gur rises on less arrivals

The wholesale gur (jaggery) prices rose in the national capital today on buying activity, amid restricted supply.

Muzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur market also ended higher on reduced arrivals. 

In Delhi, gur dhayya and chakku gained by Rs 50 each to settle at Rs 2,350-2,400 and Rs 2,300-2,350 per quintal, respectively.

Gur pedi and shakkar prices also went up by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,350-2,400 and Rs 2,550-2,600 per quintal, respectively.

At Muzaffarnagar, gur raskat closed higher at Rs 1,850-1,950 from Rs 1,800-1,900 per quintal, respectively.

In Muradnagar, gur pedi finished higher from Rs 2,100-2,125 to end at Rs 2,100-2,150 per quintal, respectively.  

 

Following were today's quotations per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,300-2,350, pedi Rs 2,350-2,400, Dhayya Rs 2,350-2,400 and Shakkar Rs 2,550-2,600

Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,850-1,950, chakku Rs 2,050-2,250 and Khurpa Rs 2,000-2,050
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,100-2,150 and Dhaya Rs 2,100-2,150
