Gur rules steady in Delhi, up in Muzzafarnagar

Gur prices ruled firm in the national capital today following restricted supply amid better offtake, registered gains up to Rs 50 per quintal.

At Muzzafarnagar, gur raskat remained in keen demand for the second straight day by Rs 50 per quintal on frantic buying by beer and cattle-feed making industries.

Gur raskat prices witnessed a Rs 250 per quintal jump in just two day's trading on heavy buying. Marketmen said paucity of stocks, boosted by fall in supply due to rainfall in gur manufacturing areas, caused the rise in gur prices.

In Delhi, gur pedi rose by Rs 50 to Rs 3,100-3,150 per quintal, Shakkar also gained by Rs 50 to Rs 3,250-3,350 per quintal. 

 

At Muzzafarnagar, gur raskat moved up from Rs 2,000-2,100 to settle at Rs 2,025-2,150 per quintal.

Chakku Rs 2,900-2,950, Pedi Rs 3,100-3150 and Dhayya N.T., shakkar Rs 3,250-3,350.
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,025-2,150 chakku Rs 2,675 -2,775 and Khurpa N.T.
In Muradnagar: Pedi N.A. And Dhaya N.A
