Gur rules steady on thin trade

The wholesale jaggery market ended on a flat note in the Capital today, as gur prices moved in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position against sporadic demand mainly kept gur prices around previous levels.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, Pedi Rs 2,950-3,050 and Dhayya NT, shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200.

In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,050-2,100, chakku Rs 2,400- 2,575 and Khurpa NT

In Muradnagar: Pedi 2,700-2,750 and Dhaya NA.
