Gur turns easy on stockists selling

Gur prices fell up to Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale jaggery market today on emergence of selling by stockists against fall in demand in view of rainy season.

Traders said stockists selling against fall in demand in view of ongoing heavy rains mainly pulled down wholesale gur prices.

At Delhi, gur chakku declined by Rs 50 to Rs 2,850-2,900 per quintal on reduced local offtake.

In Muzzafarnagar, gur raskat fell by Rs 100 to Rs 1,750- 1,850, while chakku lost Rs 50 to Rs 2,550-2,650 per quintal.
    
Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:
    
Chakku Rs 2,850-2,900, Pedi Rs 3,000-3,050 and Dhayya N.T., shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200.
    
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,750-1,850, chakku Rs 2,550 -2,650 and Khurpa N.T.
    
In Muradnagar: Pedi N.A. And Dhaya N.A.
