Haryana procures over 62.68 lakh tn of wheat

Over 62.68 lakh tonne of wheat has been procured in Haryana so far during the ongoing wheat procurement season.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana Food and Supplies Department said out of the total arrival of wheat, over 62.65 lakh tonne of wheat has been purchased by the government procuring agencies and the remaining 3,013 tonne by the traders.

Over 21.79 lakh tonne of wheat has been purchased by HAFED, over 16.45 lakh tonne by Food and Supplies Department, 7.89 lakh tonne by Food Corporation of India, 6.30 lakh tonne by Haryana Agro Industries Corporation, 5.72 lakh tonne by Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 4.48 lakh metric tonne by CONFED, he added.

 

District Sirsa was leading in wheat arrival where over 8.61 lakh metric tonne of wheat had so far arrived in the mandis, followed by district Fatehabad where over 6.35 lakh metric tonne of wheat had arrived in the mandis.
