HC ruling on RIL-RNRL drags Sensex, down over 200pts

The Sensex has again slipped into the negative zone after the Bombay High Court passed its verdict on the RIL- RNRL case. The ruling has been in favour of RNRL.

The Sensex has slipped to a low of 15,021, down 240 points from the day's high.

The index is now 231points lower at 15,006.

The BSE Oil & Gas index has slipped over 3.3% to 10,161.

Reliance Infrastructures has gained 5% at Rs 1,240. NTPC has soared 4% to Rs 229.

Reliance Communications and Ranbaxy have added over 2.8% each to Rs 343 and Rs 290, respectively.

ACC, ONGC, TCS, SBI, HDFC Bank, Grasim and Wipro are up 1-2.5% each.

 

Reliance has slipped 5% to Rs 2,243. Sterlite and Tata Power have dropped over 3.5% each to Rs 686 and Rs 1,130, respectively.

Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hindalco, Sun Pharma and Tata Steel are down 1.5-3.5% each.

The market breadth continues to be negative, out of 2,250 shars traded, 1,343 have declined and 844 have advanced so far on the BSE.
