HCL Infosystems gains 6% on fund raising plans

HCL Infosystems soared 6.5% to settle at Rs 133, after touching a high of Rs 135. The scrip opened at Rs 126, which was also its intra-day low. The counter saw trades of 92,492 shares as against its two-week average traded volume of 81,004 shares.

HCL Infosystems is up 5% on its plans of raising funds with the issue of warrants and private placement of shares.

The stock opened at Rs 126 and zoomed to touch a high of Rs 132, up 5% from the previous close. The scrip is now trading at the day's high. The counter has so far witnessed trades of 11,849 shares on the BSE and the stock has surged 25% in a month's time.

 

The company has plans of collecting around Rs 825 crore through the issue of warrants and private placement of shares with  institutuional buyers to help in its long term growth.

The company in a statement has said that the board has approved the issue of convertible warrants up to Rs 325 crore to promoters.
