The gainers were Bajaj Auto (up 2.69 per cent to $10.30), Hindalco (up 0.26 per cent to $11.70) and Ranbaxy (up 0.07 per cent to $13.80) and the losers were State Bank of India (down 1.63 per cent to $13.85), Reliance (down 0.84 per cent to $11.80), Larsen & Toubro (down 0.89 per cent to $7.78) and ITC (down 0.97 per cent to $13.22).
Among Indian American depository receipts, 4 advanced, 3 lost ground and 4 remained unchanged. The major gainers were HDFC Bank (up 3.30 per cent to $15.65), Satyam Computer (up 1.61 per cent to $9.45) and VSNL (up 1.52 per cent to $3.34) and the major losers were Infosys (down 4.65 per cent to $2.25), MTNL (down 0.19 per cent to $4.15) and Wipro (down 0.53 per cent to $28.35).
