Heavyweights weak, Sensex down 21 pts

After resuming weak and dropping 38 points over its previous close in early trades, the market is still exhibiting weak trends, though slightly off its early lows on selective buying support in current trades.

The Sensex is now down 21 points at 6,436, while the Nifty has declined 10 points to 1,983.

ONGC has shed 1.64% (Rs 15) to Rs 870, while Reliance has declined a per cent (Rs 4) to Rs 535.

Infosys, which dipped over a per cent in early trades, is still down 1.16% (Rs 24) at Rs 2,037. While Satyam has lost 1.17% (Rs 5) to Rs 426, Wipro is trading a per cent lower (Rs 4) at Rs 638.

ICICI Bank has lost a per cent (Rs 4) to Rs 388. While SBI is trading weaker by Rs 3 at Rs 616, HDFC Bank is up a rupee at Rs 531.

Ranbaxy and Cipla have gained a per cent each to Rs 986 (up Rs 7) and Rs 280 (up Rs 3), respectively, while Dr. Reddy's is marginally up at Rs 661.

Gujarat Ambuja and ACC are up Rs 2 each at Rs 447 and Rs 394, respectively. Grasim, however, is marginally weak at Rs 1,147.

Zee has logged 1.70% gains (Rs 3) to Rs 158. HDFC is up 1.47% (Rs 11) at Rs 761, and HPCL is up a per cent (Rs 2) at Rs 332. Tata Power is up a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 372.
