Himatsingka Seide, Pidilite Industries, Kesoram Industries hit 52-week high

Ambuja Cements, BPCL, Exide Industries, India Cements, Shree Cement and Hatsun Agro were from BSE500 index hit their respective 52-week highs.

Himatsingka Seide, Pidilite Industries, Kesoram Industries hit 52-week high

Himatsingka Seide, Pidilite Industries, Kesoram Industries, Ambuja Cements, Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) and Hatsun Agro Products were among 17 stocks from the BSE500 index that hit their respective 52-week highs today.

The S&P BSE500 index ended 0.16% lower at 11,122 as compared to 0.27% decline in the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex on Friday.

Include Himatsingka Seide, shares of select textile companies such as Filatex India, RSMW, Shiva Texyarn and Sutlej Textiles & Industries touch 52-week highs on the BSE in otherwise weak market.

Himatsingka Seide ended 3% higher at Rs 261, extending its past four trading sessions gain on the BSE. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 265 in intra-day trade, rallied 15% as compared to a marginal 0.11% decline in the benchmark index during the week.

The company is currently in process of expanding its sheeting capacity from 23 million meters per annum (MMPA) to 46 MMPA, is eyeing to tap North American countries, such as the US, Mexico and Canada, with its enhanced capacity. LINK
 

Four cement stocks – Ambuja Cements, India Cements, Shree Cement and The Ramco Cements – from the index hit fresh 52-week highs on expectation of strong operational performance in the first quarter (April-June) of the current fiscal.

“Overall, we expect all companies under coverage (except India Cements) to register margin expansion YoY. We estimate demand recovery from H2FY17 on hopes of a normal monsoon and delay in new capacity ramp up (planned in FY17) to aid further price recovery,” Edelweiss Securities said in a results preview.

Hatsun Agro Products soared 9% to Rs 505, finally settled 6% higher at Rs 491 on the BSE. The company engaged in packaged foods business said the board of directors of the company will meet on July 15, 2016 to consider and allot bonus equity shares in the ratio of 2 (two) new equity shares of Re 1 each credited as fully paid-up for every 5 (five) existing equity shares of Re 1 each.

The board will also consider and approve the un-audited financial results of the company for the quarter ended June 30, 2016, it added.
