Hind Construction rides on Jammu road contract

Hindustan Construction Co (HCC) went up 6.5 per cent to Rs 795.15 in Thursday's trade after the company informed NSE about winning a contract worth Rs 214.40 crore for road construction in Jammu & Kashmir. The counter hit an all-time high of Rs 845 during the intra-day trades.
 
The Walchand group company had won another contract of Rs 218.35 crore last week for the construction of a tunnel from IRCON International, New Delhi. HCC is one of the largest construction companies in the country, catering to both domestic as well as international markets. It services diversified areas such as hydel, power, roads, bridges, dams, marine works, buildings and environmental projects.
