Hindalco GDR top gainer

The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI) was up 2.51 per cent to 999.97 on Monday in early trades.

Among ISDI GDR stocks, all seven advanced. The major gainers were Hindalco, up 4.18 per cent to $30.30, registering a volume of 15,000 GDRs, Larsen & Toubro up 2.81 per cent to $19.00 and a volume of 15,000 GDRs and Bajaj Auto up 2.66 per cent to $22.40 and a volume of 3,000 GDRs.

The Instanex Skindia DR Index up 1.94 per cent to 990.69 on October 1, 2004, and was trading at a profit to earning ratio of 17.98 (up 1.70 per cent).

Among ISDI ADRs, seven advanced and one lost ground on October 1, 2004. Major gainers were Dr Reddy's Labs, up 4.09 per cent to $16.78, ICICI Bank up 3.26 per cent to $14.25 and Infosys Technologies up 3.16 per cent to $58.39.

The only loser was HDFC Bank, down 1.18 per cent to $33.55.
