Hindalco, Reliance End Higher

The Instanex Skindia DR index (ISDI), which tracks 15 actively-traded Indian depository receipts, advanced 1.19 per cent to 493.94 on Tuesday.

Among Indian GDRs, there were four gainers and three losers. The Hindalco GDR rose 5.88 per cent to $14.85, Reliance Industries climbed 4.92 per cent to $12.15, Bajaj Auto edged up 3.94 per cent to $10.55 and Ranbaxy Laboratories added 1.53 per cent to $15.25.

However, State Bank of India shed 0.87 per cent to $17.10, ITC fell 0.56 per cent to $8.95, while Larsen & Toubro eased by 0.56 per cent to $8.95.

Elsewhere, Wall Street traded flat in opening trades, as investors returned from a long weekend and witnessed further deterioration in the dollar.
