Hindustan Construction gets a stock-split booster

HCC was up 9 per cent to Rs 1,093.45 after the company's board approved a 10-for-1 stock split. The scrip touched a intra-day high of Rs 1,124.90. HCC has a strong order book of Rs 5,300 crore. After the company made an announcement on September 23 that it had received an order from NHPC worth Rs 1,079.86 crore, the scrip witnessed a sharp rise.
 
HCC is also focussing on projects in the Middle East and Africa in an attempt to diversify its risks.
 
The company recently received an order worth Rs 150 crore in Saudi Arabia for the restoration of a pier.
