HLL eases further

Selling pressure in heavyweights and paring of gains in other select old economy counters has curbed the gains of the index to a considerable extent. The Sensex is now up eight points at 6,678, while the Nifty is up four points at 2,094.

HLL has dropped 3% (Rs 5) to Rs 147. ITC and Reliance are trading a tad lower each at Rs 1,313 and Rs 538, respectively.

Infosys is still trading with a modest gain of Rs 9 at Rs 2,193. Wipro (up Rs 4 to Rs 710), too, is trading at steady levels.

SBI is trading firm with a gain of 1.87% (Rs 12) at Rs 674. HDFC Bank is unchanged with a per cent gain (Rs 5) at Rs 567. ICICI Bank is trading weak at Rs 381 - down Rs 2.

Bajaj has inched lower by a per cent (Rs 11) to Rs 1,056. Maruti has lost 1.53% (Rs 7) to Rs 483. Tata Motors (down Rs 3 to Rs 504) and Hero Honda (down Rs 2 to Rs 553) continue to trade at subdued levels.

BHEL has added 1.73% (Rs 15) to Rs 866, while Hindalco has added 1.48% (Rs 20) to Rs 1,390. L&T is up 1.52% (Rs 15) at Rs 1,018, and Tisco has gained 1.75% (Rs 7) to Rs 409.
