The stocks of companies engaged in the food and food processing business have done well in the last three months from October to January on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
 
Share price of Agro Dutch Industries rose from Rs 34.40 on October 1, to today's close of Rs 40.65.
 
The shares of Chaman Lal Setia Exports increased from Rs 17 to Rs 25.55, up by 50.29 per cent, and Chordia Food Products from Rs 16.50 to Rs 16.60. Foods And Inns gained from Rs 29.40 to Rs 52.00, up 76.87 per cent, and Flex Foods from Rs 12.56 to Rs 18.35.
 
Hind Industries firmed up from Rs 12.50 to Rs 13.93 and Bambino Agro from Rs 5.40 to Rs 14.76.
 
Similarly, Lakshmi Overseas strengthened from Rs 23.65 to Rs 121.45 and Satnam Overseas from Rs 84.25 to Rs 104.10.
 
Tai Industries moved from Rs 10.05 to Rs 11.60 while Mefcom Agro Industries doubled from Rs 1.74 to Rs 3.50. R T Exports rallied from Rs 7 to Rs 17.89 and Nijjer Agro from Rs 7.58 to Rs 9.90.
 
Tarai Foods displayed a similar trend, lifting from Rs 2.58 to Rs 3, as did Freshtrop Fruits from Rs 10.50 to Rs 10.96.
 
Only Shah Foods declined from Rs 8.19 to Rs 6.57.
