House of Pearl up on restructuring of arm

House of Pearl Fashions shares rose 2.97 per cent to close the day at Rs 46.85 on news that operations at its subsidiary, Nor Pearl Knitwear, Bangladesh are going to be restructured.

The restructuring would entail temporary closure of its manufacturing facility till June 30, 2009. The stock made an intraday high of Rs 48.5 and a low of Rs 45 with trading volumes of 7,184 shares (about 1.3 times higher of its two-week average activity). The scrip made a 52-week high of Rs 198.95 (February 29, 2008) and a low of Rs 43.1 (February 02, 2009).
