ICICI Bank gains 4%; BHEL slips 2.4%

ICICI Bank surged 3.9% to Rs 794. Reliance Infrastructure and Bharti Airtel  have gained 3.4% each at Rs 1,055 and Rs 841, respectively.

DLF has moved up nearly 3% to Rs 494. Infosys and Cipla have advanced 2.6% each at Rs 1,913 and Rs 217, respectively.

NTPC is up 2.5% to Rs 165. Hindustan Unilever and HDFC have added 2% each to Rs 231 and Rs 2,176, respectively.

Wipro, ONGC and HDFC Bank have inched 1.5% each at Rs 485, Rs 854 and Rs 1,140, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Jaiprakash Associates and ITC are the other major gainers.

BHEL has plunged 2.4% to Rs 1,524. Reliance Communications has declined 1.5% to Rs 535.

 

Mahindra & Mahindra has slipped 1.3% to Rs 563. Hindalco is down around 1% to Rs 174.

The markets breadth is positive - out of 2,626 stocks traded so far, 1,861 have advanced, 692 have declined and 73 are unchanged.
