Idea Cellular rises ahead of Q4 results

The board is also considering a maiden dividend on equity shares of the company, if thought fit.

Idea Cellular has moved higher by 4% to Rs 119 on the National Stock Exchagne (NSE) ahead of its Q4 (January-March) results today.

Analysts on average is expecting 10% year-on-year (yoy) growth in revenue of Rs 5,863 crore and 14% yoy increase in net profit of Rs 273 crore from the telecom services provider.

“The telecom sector would likely report a modest quarter with 2.5-3% quarter-on-quarter wireless revenue growth on a pick-up in subscriber momentum and a muted 0-20bps EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) margin improvement on only a marginal uptick in ARPM (average revenue per user ),” says analyst at Religare Institutional Research.

Meanwhile, the board of directors of Idea Cellular is also considering a maiden dividend on equity shares of the company, if thought fit.

The stock opened at Rs 117 and hit a high of Rs 120 on NSE. A combined 2.48 million shares have changed hands on the counter till early noon deals on NSE and BSE.
