Wednesday was a fairly positive day for the Indian ADRs, with eight out of four ADRs ending on a positive note.
MTNL, which was down 2% on Tuesday, recovered by a big margin to end up 5%, on Wednesday, at $2.44. Sterlite Industries carried forward its positive run into the second week as it closed up 3% at $16.37.
Tata Communications, which ended flat on Tuesday, moved up 3% to $11.26, while ICICI Bank, which slipped 1% on Tuesday, gained 2% at $49.92.
HDFC Bank was up 1.4% at $168.52, followed by Tata Motors, which was down nearly 3% on Tuesday, moved up to $28.94 up 1.2%.
Infosys, a flat trade on Tuesday, showed some movement, and gained 1% in Wednesday's trading session to end at $75.82. Satyam Computer Services moved up marginally, less than half a percent, to close at $2.93.
Patni Computer systems, in line for an acquisition by iGate, was down 1% at $20.82. Dr Reddy's Laboratories slipped into negative territory at $36.69, down 0.7%.
Genpact and Wipro were twins at $15.40, and both traded flat, with a negative bias.
