<b>Infosys impact:</b> Sensex up 278pts; NTPC drops

The Sensex is now up 278 points at 13,391.

Satyam has soared 5.6% to Rs 471. Wipro and TCS have zoomed over 4% each to Rs 563 and Rs 1250, respectively. Infosys has gained 3% at Rs 2,106.

SBI has rallied 4% to Rs 1,006. ICICI Bank, Bajaj Auto and Tata Steel have surged around 3% each to Rs 875, Rs 2,420 and Rs 511, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has moved up 2.6% to Rs 1,607. HDFC Bank, Tata Motors, Reliance Communications, Maruti, Gujarat Ambuja and ONGC are up around 2% each.

NTPC has dropped 1.6% to Rs 157.

Out of 2,372 stocks traded so far, 1,594 have advanced, 699 have declined and 79 are unchanged.
