Investors seek HC judge's recusal from NSEL case

BS Reporter Mumbai
National Spot Exchange Limited (NSEL) Investors Forum has written a letter to Bombay High Court Justice V M Kanade, requesting him to recuse himself from all matters relating to the exchange, as Kanade's son has appeared for an NSEL defaulter, PD Agro Processors.

Justice Kanade passed a status quo order on the NSEL-FTIL merger case last week.

The letter said, "There is an obvious likelihood of a bias in your mind against NSEL investors due to the involvement of your son. Hence, in the interest of fairness and propriety, we request you to kindly recuse yourself from all matters related to NSEL including FTIL/Union of India."
