IOC recovers towards the end, ends flat

The stock managed to erase all its losses and enterred the positive zone to touch a high of Rs 320. The stock finally ended flat at Rs 314. The counter clocked volumes of 666,751 shares as compared to the two-week daily average traded volumes of 124,122 shares on the BSE.

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has slipped 2% following a massive fire at its Jaipur plant.

Army was been called in to douse the flames after the fire broke out at the IOC depot in Sitapura Industrial Area, Jaipur, last night.

The stock opened at Rs 299 and touched to a high of Rs 315. The stock slipped to a low of Rs 291 and is now trading at Rs 308, down 2% from the previous close. The counter has clocked volumes of 209,355 shares as compared to the two-week daily average traded volumes of 124,122 shares on the BSE.

 

Recently the company had announced a 1:1 bonus issue. Persual to which, the company had fixed its record date for today. The stock price hence yesterday opened adjusted ex-bonus to Rs 319 as against the close of Rs 642 on 28th October.
