Jaypee Infratech has rallied 19% to Rs 40.90 on back of huge volumes. As many as 916,342 shares have already changed hands on the counter so far, against an average less than 800,000 shares that were traded daily in past two weeks.
A Jaypee Group company, promoted by Manoj Gaur, is constructing the Rs 13,300-crore Yamuna Expressway which is expected to be completed by March 2012.
It also has development rights of 25 million square metres of land across five locations along the expressway.
Selling this real estate has been an important source of funding for the mega project.
