Jaypee Infratech surges 15% on heavy volumes

A combined 1.2 million shares have changed hands so far, against an average around 220,000 shares that were traded daily in past two weeks.

Jaypee Infratech has surged 15% to Rs 48.70 on back of over five-fold jump in trading volumes on the counter in morning trades on the National Stock Exchange.

As many as a combined 1.2 million shares have already changed hands on the counter so far, against an average around 220,000 shares that were traded daily in past two weeks.

The company engaged in the development of the related real estate projects has reported a robust 40% year-on-year growth in net profit at Rs 349 crore for the quarter ended March 2012.

According to analyst, net sales and net profit of the company are expected to grow at a CAGR of 13% and 6% over 2011 to 2014E respectively.
