Jeera prices fell by Rs 100 to Rs 15,750 per quintal as traders offloaded their positions on the back of subdued local demand at existing higher levels in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, November jeera fell by Rs 100, or 0.63% to Rs 15,750 per quintal with an open interest of 15,369 lots.
The October contract shed Rs 89, or 0.58% to Rs 15,350 per quintal in 16,368 lots.
Market analysts said traders offloaded their positions, driven by a weak trend at the spot market on subdued demand mainly led to the fall in jeera prices in the futures trade.
