Jeera prices dipped by Rs 320 to Rs 14,757.50 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels.

Thin supplies in the domestic market capped losses.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in October dipped by Rs 320, or 2.12%, to Rs 14,757.50 per quintal in an open interest of 231 lots.

November jeera traded lower by Rs 50, or 0.33%, to Rs 14,960 per quintal in 14,832 lots.

Market experts attributed the fall in jeera futures to profit-booking by speculators at prevailing higher levels.
