Jeera prices fell by 0.68% to Rs 14,162.50 per quintal in futures trade today on increased supplies from producing regions against sluggish demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in August fell by Rs 97.50, or 0.68% to Rs 14162.50 per quintal in open interest of 1019 lots.
Similarly, jeera for delivery in July declined by Rs 82.50, or 0.60% to Rs 13570 per quintal in 13602 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall of Jeera futures to increased supplies from producing regions against sluggish demand in the spot market.
