Jeera falls 1.4% on profit-booking

Prices droped as speculators booked profits at existing levels

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Jeera futures for March fell by Rs 180, or 1.38% to Rs 12,895 per quintal in 84 lots.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the April contact lost Rs 75, or 0.57% to Rs 12,920 per quintal in 11,460 lots.

Prices droped as speculators booked profits at existing levels amid expectations of higher output and supplies from new season crop.

Increased supply from the producing regions and decline in the export demand further pulled down the prices.
