Jeera prices fell by Rs 161 to Rs 15,475 per quintal in futures trade today on stockists selling due to weak export demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, September jeera fell by Rs 161, or 1.03% to Rs 15,475 per quintal in an open interest of 15,993 lots.

The October contract lost Rs 161, or 1.00% to Rs 15,928 per quintal in 17,706 lots.

Analysts said weak export demand mainly led to the fall in jeera futures prices.
