Jeera prices declined by Rs 155 to Rs 14,475 per quintal in futures trade today owing to weak domestic as well as exports demand against adequate stocks position.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in September declined by Rs 155, or 1.06%, to Rs 14,475 per quintal, with an open interest of 447 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in June lost Rs 128, or 0.95%, to Rs 13,381 per quintal, with a trade volume of 5,430 lots.

Market analysts said weak domestic as well as export demand mainly led to the decline in jeera futures prices.
