Jeera futures prices declined by Rs 65 to Rs 13,255 per quintal today due to a weak trend at spot markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, jeera for delivery in November fell by Rs 65, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs 13,255 per quintal, with an open interest of 12,099 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in December lost Rs 53, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 13,444 per quintal, with a trade volume of 12,222 lots.
Analysts said sluggish demand against adequate positions in the physical markets, mainly led to the fall in jeera futures prices.
