Jeera prices declined by Rs 56 to Rs 14,550 per quintal in futures trading today due to weak domestic as well as exports demand against adequate stocks position.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in August declined by Rs 56, or 0.38%, to Rs 14,550 per quintal, with an open interest of 7,821 lots.

The June contract lost Rs 26, or 0.19%, to Rs 13,750 per quintal, with a business turnover of 10,674 lots.

Analysts said weak domestic as well as export demand mainly led to the decline in jeera futures prices.
