Jeera prices dropped by Rs 264 to Rs 16,969 per quintal at the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) today on fresh arrivals in the physical market.
At the NCDEX, jeera for delivery in May dropped by Rs 264, or 1.53 per cent, to Rs 16,969 per quintal, with an open interest of 6,486 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in March contract fell by Rs 223, or 1.36 per cent, to Rs 16,135 per quintal, with an open interest of 7,857 lots.
Market analysts said apart from increased supplies in the physical markets, weak export demand influenced the jeera futures prices.
